Wrexham AFC extended their unbeaten run to seven Championship matches with a commanding 2-0 victory over Bristol City at the STōK Racecourse on Tuesday evening.
Nathan Broadhead opened the scoring with a moment of brilliance in the 16th minute. The Wales international collected George Thomason’s pass outside the box before unleashing a sensational curling strike into the side netting that gave Radek Vitek no chance.
Phil Parkinson’s side controlled proceedings throughout, with Kieffer Moore restored to the starting lineup alongside Broadhead in attack. The towering striker went close on several occasions, forcing a crucial double save from Vitek in the 69th minute.
Bristol City’s best opportunity fell to Anis Mehmeti, who blazed over after being played through by Yu Hirakawa. The visitors thought they had equalised in the 39th minute through Ross McCrorie, but the goal was correctly ruled out for a foul on Arthur Okonkwo.

Thomason sealed the points in spectacular fashion 74 minutes in, curling a corner directly into the far post with Vitek unable to prevent the ball nestling into the net for the midfielder’s first Wrexham goal.
The Robins pushed for a late consolation, but Wrexham defended resolutely to claim a fourth consecutive clean sheet and secure three vital points moving them up to 10th in the Championship Table.
The victory maintains Wrexham’s impressive home form, making it four successive league wins at the STōK Racecourse. Parkinson’s side were boosted before kick-off by the absence of Bristol City’s Scott Twine, who has scored six league goals this season.
A crowd of 10,540, including 1,268 travelling supporters, witnessed another significant step in Wrexham’s Championship journey as they continue to exceed expectations in their maiden campaign at this level.
