Wrexham have posted record revenue in their return to the English Football League, underlining the commercial success delivered under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s ownership.
The club reported earnings of £26.7 million for the 2023/24 season, representing a 155% increase on the previous year.
Geographic breakdown showed 52.1% of revenue came from outside the United Kingdom, primarily North America—up sharply from 24.6% in 2023.
Commercial income rose from £1.9 million in 2023 to £13.2 million over the last year. Matchday revenue also climbed from £3.1 million to £5 million during the same period.
The figures reflect growing global interest in the Welsh club, driven largely by the Welcome to Wrexham documentary series.
Reynolds and McElhenney acquired Wrexham in February 2021 for £2 million. Since then, the club’s valuation has surged. Recent estimates from Bloomberg News place Wrexham’s worth at around £100 million—roughly 50 times what the Hollywood pair paid. In January, the duo expanded their football portfolio with the purchase of Colombian side La Equidad.
On the pitch, Wrexham sit second in League One, pushing for promotion to the Championship—a level the club last reached in the 1980s.
