Wrexham supporters have four all-Wales Championship fixtures to look forward to during the 2026/27 season, with meetings against Cardiff City and Swansea City among the standout dates in Phil Parkinson’s side’s campaign.
The Championship fixture list has handed Wrexham two matches against Cardiff City and two against Swansea City, giving supporters four derby days to circle before the new season gets underway.
Both rivalries carry extra significance as Wrexham continue their push towards the Premier League after narrowly missing the play-offs last season.
Cardiff City vs Wrexham opens the season
Wrexham’s first league fixture could hardly be bigger. Parkinson’s side travel to Cardiff City on 17 August to kick off the Championship campaign.
The return fixture takes place at the Racecourse Ground on 6 March, with Wrexham hoping home advantage can make the difference in one of the biggest matches on the calendar.
Swansea City meetings complete the Welsh derby schedule
After the Cardiff opener, Wrexham face another Welsh rival early in the campaign when they visit Swansea City on 5 September.
The return meeting comes at the Racecourse Ground on 10 April, with both clubs likely to be chasing important points during the closing weeks of the season.
