A teaser trailer for We Are Wrexham has dropped on YouTube giving the fans of Wrexham AFC a preview of a new documentary series created about the football club. This new documentary series will chronicle the experiences of Wrexham via the eyes of Shaun Winter who apparently will narrate stories from Wrexham, the club, and the surrounding areas.

The teaser trailer gives a sneak peek into the upcoming new documentary series We Are Wrexham which will be based on Wrexham AFC but its scope seems more than just the team and their results.

This is what makes this new documentary series exciting because Wrexham’s success story has been told all around the world in Welcome to Wrexham.

We Are Wrexham trailer gives fans a first look

The trailer was posted on the YouTube channel We Are Wrexham and is titled as a “brand-new series” of Shaun Winter’s club adventure.

Winter himself is no stranger to many fans, having appeared in the Welcome to Wrexham documentary. This makes his participation in this project a natural bridge between documentaries and makes it possible to tell the tale of the club to a larger audience.

However, in contrast to just following that scheme, this announcement suggests that this series will follow a different path.

Previously posted on the YouTube channel, an earlier trailer described the series as football and “real-life Wrexham” – the stories, characters, locations and adventures of the town.

A different view of Wrexham’s story

Welcome to Wrexham has followed Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ approach to the management of the club, with FX stating that the show will focus on the dreams and fears of the North Wales city through the journey of the club managed by Hollywood celebrities.

We Are Wrexham seems to tell its tale from a different perspective. While still focusing on the club, there are indications that the project will focus on the community rather than the football aspect.

It may give the supporters something to watch other than what they already have. There has been a lot of global interest because of the club’s progress, but the community is still at the core of the whole story.

For Wrexham supporters, this may be the key attraction to the project.

While the trailer does not show everything about the format and release plan, the general atmosphere of the movie has been revealed by now. It is another documentary film about Wrexham AFC that appears to be willing to devote as much time to the environment around the club as to the club itself.

Now when Wrexham is becoming popular in other places outside of North Wales, We Are Wrexham will give the viewers an opportunity to see what it actually means to the local community.
