The Old Irish Pub, Helsinki
Wrexham supporters travelling to Finland this month have been invited to make The Old Irish Pub their home before the Red Dragons take on Manchester United at the iconic Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
The pub has ensured that traveling supporters will receive a warm welcome in the days prior to the game as well as on matchday itself. There will be live music and exclusive drink offers, all within a space that the club hopes will become the focal point of Red Army meeting up in Helsinki.
Situated on Mannerheimintie 12, 00100 Helsinki, which is just 2.3 km from the Olympic Stadium, the bar provides supporters with the opportunity to enjoy the capital of Finland in a lively and welcoming venue prior to the game. With an approximate capacity of 1,100 people and running from 12pm to 5am, there’s sure to be time for some pre-match beers. Especially at just 3,95 Euro for half a liter of Carlsberg on draft.

Venue representative Magnus Djurhuus said the team is looking forward to welcoming Wrexham supporters.
“We would love to welcome all Wrexham supporters to our venue both the day before the match and on matchday.

“We’ll be offering great drink deals, live music and the perfect atmosphere for travelling fans.
“We’re looking forward to seeing some Wrexham fans in Helsinki.”
The match itself is one of the standout fixtures of Wrexham’s 2026 pre-season schedule. Phil Parkinson’s side will face Manchester United at the historic Helsinki Olympic Stadium on Saturday, July 18, marking the club’s first-ever visit to the Finnish capital.
The fixture comes a week after Wrexham’s trip to Wisła Kraków and before the squad heads to the United States for high-profile matches against Leeds United, Liverpool and Sunderland.
It will also be the first meeting between Wrexham and Manchester United since the Red Dragons claimed an impressive 3-1 victory over the Premier League side during the club’s inaugural US Tour in San Diego in 2023.
When the fixture was announced, Wrexham AFC Chief Executive Michael Williamson said the club was excited to take its growing international support to Finland.
“We’re delighted to confirm our match in Helsinki against Manchester United.
“It will be a great occasion, at a famous venue against an iconic opponent, and just as importantly a good test on the pitch as part of our pre-season preparations.
“We look forward to seeing our supporters in Finland, and meeting new fans from the Nordic region too.”
With thousands of supporters expected to be travelling to Helsinki, Old Irish Pub looks set to become the unofficial home of Wrexham fans for the weekend, giving travelling Reds a chance to meet before making the short walk to one of Northern Europe’s most famous sporting venues.
