Paul Mullin has broken his silence following his Wrexham departure, thanking supporters for their backing and insisting his love for the club will never end.
The striker shared an emotional statement on social media just hours after Wrexham AFC confirmed his contract had been terminated by mutual consent, bringing an end to a remarkable five-year spell at the STōK Cae Ras.
While tributes have poured in from supporters, manager Phil Parkinson and across the football world, Mullin has now addressed Wrexham fans directly for the first time.
Paul Mullin thanks Wrexham supporters
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Mullin reflected on the bond he built with supporters during one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much to all the fans, near and far. What we created together is something I’ll always be proud of.”
The striker also spoke about what Wrexham has meant to him and his family since arriving from Cambridge United in 2021.
“This club is special and has been to me and my family from the very start. I want nothing more than to see this club continue to progress, for all those people who came together to keep it alive, and for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who are a special pair of people.”

Although his playing career at Wrexham is now over, Mullin made it clear that his connection with the club remains as strong as ever.
“This might be the end for me as a player, but there’s not a chance it’s the end of my love and affection for the club.”
He signed off the message with three red hearts alongside the now familiar hashtag #SPM.
Wrexham fans have responded in huge numbers, thanking Mullin for the memories after a spell that saw him score 110 goals, win three promotions and become one of the defining figures of the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds era.
