Mock up of Nex as Wrexham sleeve sponsor
Wrexham AFC have announced a new partnership with Nex ahead of the 2026/27 Championship season, with the family-focused gaming company becoming the club’s new sleeve sponsor and planning supporter activations at the Racecourse Ground throughout the coming campaign.
The agreement was confirmed on June 16 and arrives as Wrexham continue preparations for another season in the Championship under Phil Parkinson.
The announcement continues a trend of international companies seeking a connection with Wrexham as the club settles into Championship football. The partnership also arrives during a period of continued development around the Racecourse Ground.

Nex will feature on the sleeves of Wrexham’s kits during the 2026/27 campaign and has committed to fan engagement opportunities as well as youth initiatives connected to the Foundation and Academy, according to Business Wire.
Nex partnership goes beyond shirt sponsorship
While supporters will first notice the Nex branding on Wrexham’s shirts, both organisations have stressed that the agreement extends well beyond a traditional sponsorship arrangement.
Plans include a dedicated Nex Game Zone and a series of supporter-focused activations throughout the season, according to Mondo Stadia. The partnership will also support youth engagement projects linked to the club’s Foundation and Academy.
Tom Kang, president and head of international at Nex, said the two organisations shared similar values.
“Wrexham AFC and Nex are both writing exciting new chapters in our respective journeys, driven by a shared commitment to community and connection.”
Kang added that Nex was proud to partner with a club that had inspired supporters around the world while remaining closely connected to its local community, as quoted by LeaderLive.
Another indication of Wrexham’s commercial growth
The announcement follows a period of significant growth for the club. Wrexham’s profile has expanded globally through on-field success and the continuing impact of Welcome to Wrexham.
That visibility has helped attract new commercial opportunities as the club establishes itself in the Championship. Supporters continue to monitor the club’s progress through the Championship table while developments continue away from the pitch.
The partnership announcement stated that activations are planned around the Racecourse Ground, including areas connected to the club’s developing new Kop Stand.
Co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds welcomed the agreement with a characteristically light-hearted message.
“Nex Playground and Wrexham both have big dreams and have experienced giant leaps forward in the past few years. We look forward to growing together.”
What supporters can expect during the 2026/27 season
For supporters, the agreement should be visible in more ways than a logo on a shirt sleeve. Activations at the stadium and community initiatives are expected to form a major part of the partnership.

The deal also reflects the wider momentum surrounding the club, with one of Wrexham’s co-chairmen recently receiving Time100 recognition as the club continues to attract international attention.
As Wrexham prepare for another demanding Championship campaign, the Nex partnership represents another positive step in the club’s continued development. It strengthens commercial support while keeping a clear focus on supporters, families and the local community.
