Wrexham fans divided after Ryan Reynolds appears to leak new 2026-27 home kit

Wrexham AFC fans appear to have been given a first look at their 2026/27 home shirt after the shirt was possibly leaked online by Ryan Reynolds before its official unveiling.

Although the club hasn’t officially unveiled the shirt yet, pictures and a video of Ryan Reynolds sporting it at one of his promotional events has already been posted online, leaving many fans convinced that it is indeed the new design of the Wrexham home kit.

The new home kit of Wrexham from the Italian clothing brand, Macron, will consist of their usual red body with white shoulder strips. The Firefox logo will be the front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2026/27 season. There is also an embossed logo design on the shirt front.

With each new kit release, reactions are always divided among the fans.

Many Wrexham fans liked the references to their old kits through the white shoulder strips and embossed design.

One fan wrote: “The small details take it up a level. The Kop barriers ❤️ The white shoulder detail reminiscent of ‘The Entertainers’ promotion-winning side kit of 2003. It’s a solid 8/10.”

Another supporter suggested the shirt may grow on people over time, writing: “I think it’s ok but hope it grows more on me once I see it for real and on the players. Lots of mixed opinions so far!”

Others were far less convinced.

One fan simply posted: “Rubbish.”

Another joked: “I wouldn’t buy a DH Gate version of it LOL.”

A third added: “It’s a Nay for me. Loved last season’s red. Hopefully they nail the third jersey.”

Some supporters also pointed out that the shirt may look better once players wear it rather than seeing it on a hanger.

“I think it will probably look better on someone than it looks on the hanger,” one supporter wrote.

Fans believed that Ryan Reynolds gifting the shirt to CM Punk in Facebook story on the official @vancityreynolds account confirmsits authenticity before an official announcement from the team.

It will depend on whether people will change their mind after the full launch, but for now, it is evident that Wrexham’s new home kit has been creating some controversies even before its sale.
