Wrexham supporters have chosen their favourite season of Welcome to Wrexham in a Wrexham Reds Facebook poll, with one season emerging as a clear winner after attracting 42 per cent of the vote. The result offers an interesting snapshot of which chapter of the club’s remarkable recent journey has resonated most strongly with respondents.
Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney completed their takeover in 2021, Welcome to Wrexham has documented the club’s rise from the National League to the Championship while introducing supporters around the world to the people and community behind the Racecourse Ground.
With five seasons now released, we asked the Wrexham Reds Facebook community which had been their favourite. The response produced a decisive winner, although every season received support.
Season 2 came out on top
Season 2 finished comfortably ahead of the competition, receiving 42 per cent of the vote from respondents to the Wrexham Reds Facebook poll.

The option of “All of them” came second with 21 per cent, followed by Season 1 on 15 per cent. Season 4 collected nine per cent of the vote, Season 5 received eight per cent and Season 3 finished on five per cent.
The poll reflects the views of those who took part rather than the wider Wrexham fanbase, but it provides an interesting insight into how supporters look back on the documentary series.
One of the defining chapters in Wrexham’s story
Season 2 followed Wrexham through another pivotal stage of the club’s journey under Reynolds and McElhenney, documenting the continued push for promotion while shining a spotlight on the people who make the club unique.
The documentary has become far more than a behind-the-scenes football series. It has introduced millions of viewers to Wrexham, the club’s history and the wider community, while earning widespread critical acclaim, including multiple Primetime Emmy Awards.
Although the poll did not ask supporters why they voted the way they did, the result suggests that this period of the club’s journey remains particularly memorable for many respondents.
Every season still has its supporters
One of the more interesting findings was that “All of them” finished second overall, receiving more than one in every five votes.
That reflects the enduring popularity of a documentary that has continued to grow alongside Wrexham’s success on the pitch. Every season also attracted votes, highlighting that supporters have connected with different moments in the club’s recent history, from the early days of the takeover through to Wrexham’s continued progress up the English football pyramid.
Whether supporters preferred the drama of the early years or the latest chapters, this poll shows one season still stands above the rest among the Wrexham Reds community.
