Wrexham Concept Home Shirt
Wrexham supporters may not have much longer to wait for the club’s new home kit, according to Leader Live chief football writer Richard Williams. Answering supporters’ questions during a live Q&A, Williams gave his opinion on when he expects the new kit to be revealed.
The Reds have already released their new away kit, wearing it for the first time during Saturday’s friendly in Poland, but fans are still waiting for the home strip to be launched.
One supporter asked Williams when the new home shirt would finally be released.
His response suggested an announcement could now be close.
“Only a matter of time”
Williams admitted he is also waiting to see the new design, joking that the home shirt is usually his son’s birthday present.
He then pointed to the recent away kit launch as a possible clue.
“Seriously though, now the away kit has been released it will only be a matter of time before the home strip is revealed.”
Williams noted that Wrexham unveiled the away shirt shortly before facing Legia Warsaw in Poland, prompting him to wonder whether the club could follow a similar approach this weekend.
Could it arrive before Manchester United?
While making clear he was offering his own opinion rather than reporting club information, Williams suggested supporters should keep an eye on the build-up to Saturday’s match.
“They are always different dates so the home kit must be soon and if Wrexham were to wear it in this weekend’s friendly against Man Utd, will it be announced in the build-up to KO just like the away strip was on Saturday ahead of the Reds wearing it for the game in Poland? Maybe, but surely only a matter of time.”
Wrexham have not announced a release date for the home kit.
However, with the new Championship season drawing closer and pre-season preparations continuing, supporters are expecting the club to reveal the strip in the coming days.
For now, Williams’ comments reflect the growing anticipation among fans eager to see what Wrexham will wear at the Racecourse this season.
