As Wrexham AFC gears up for another thrilling season, the street art of Wrecsam continues to tell the club’s story. The famous Paul Mullin mural on Yorke Street has received a significant and highly fitting update.
The artwork on the side of The Fat Boar pub, a fan favorite since its creation, has been transformed by artist Liam Stokes-Massey (Pencilcraftsman) to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the striker who has become a club legend.
The “before” and “after” images highlight the change, with a clear focus on honoring Mullin’s stunning impact at the club.

A Transformation in Focus
The “before” photo shows the mural as it stood for many months, depicting a powerful grayscale image of a roaring Paul Mullin alongside a smaller full-color depiction of him in his red Wrexham kit. While already an impressive piece, the wall served as a dedication to the man himself rather than a specific summary of his club accolades.

The “after” photo reveals the exciting update. In the space just above the minor logos at the bottom right of the black geometric shape on the right, a detailed, framed panel has been added. This list serves as a direct and undeniable tribute to Mullin’s contributions and reads:
- 172 APPEARANCES
- 110 GOALS
- 3x PROMOTIONS
- 1x NATIONAL LEAGUE TROPHY
- 3x PLAYER OF THE SEASON
This new framed stat panel adds a layer of depth and appreciation to the mural. In a world of hype, it offers concrete, unarguable proof of his immense influence. The list is clean and concise, and the choice of a framed box keeps it integrated into the existing black-and-white geometric aesthetic of the wall.
This thoughtful update ensures that the mural is not just a picture but a piece of documented Wrexham AFC history, capturing a defining era and its most prolific hero.
